I’m a storyteller. Everything I see, everything I hear, everything I experience, from the cracks in the sidewalk to the lyrics of a song, I take in the world around me and make up stories out of it. We all experience the world through the stories that we’re told, the stories that we tell and the stories that we live. I tell stories using the serendipitous relationships that occur between image and object, text and texture. Each piece is built into a story using the content that is inherent in the materials. They are constructed in layers, physical layers as well as layers of meaning. Allowing, or I should say encouraging, the viewer to unpack the layers and write the story for themselves.
